For a player to be eligible for the NFL draft, he must have been a part of the high school football team for at least three years. Also, he must have used his college eligibility before the start of the next college football season.

Players are only eligible for the draft at the end of their college year. Apart from that, there is no other way to enter the NFL draft. It is quite difficult to make a place in the NFL draft, as there are more than 1,00,000 football players, and around 259 players make it into the draft.
