“Stephen Curry needs to stand up from a leadership aspect!” says ESPN analyst

Last year’s conference semi-finalists and the 2021-22 NBA Champions, the Golden State Warriors, are struggling in the 2024-24 season. They have a record of 19-24 and are standing among the bottom four teams in the West Conference. Even with a champion line-up of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and many more, they have struggled.

Looking at their disappointing season, ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins has released some statements for Curry.

Kendrick Perkins said:

“You (Stephen Curry) have to stand up from a leadership aspect, and I’m not just talking about it on the floor.”

Perkins also mentioned that Curry needs to think outside the box and get out of his comfort zone.

Stephen Curry has spent the most time on the court for the team and is leading from the front. He averages 27.7 points and 5.0 assists per game and is the lone star for the Warriors.

On the other hand, players like Klay Thompson, Chris Paul, and Draymond Green, who are experienced players, are struggling to find form. They have struggled and are inconsistent throughout the season.

What is going wrong for Stephen Curry’s Warriors?

As mentioned above, several players on the team have struggled to find form. Inconsistency is their main problem, and players need to believe in themselves.

Their offense has been a plus point, and they need to continue it. But their defense has failed drastically. The Golden State Warriors have one of the worst defense ratings so far. Moreover, in every game, they have conceded at least 110 points.

We guess the team needs some changes. If they want to qualify, they need to make some tough decisions. Youngsters like Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Posziemski should be given more chances and playtime.

Things might also end up on the other side, but they would have better strength in the upcoming seasons.
