The current NBA season has turned out to be one of the most unpredictable ones. A few teams that were once at the top are struggling to win games. On the other hand, teams like the New York Knicks, who struggled at the start of the season, have a streak of wins with them.
The Knicks are now among the top four teams in the Eastern Conference and are inching closer to the qualifying scenario. Looking at their form, ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins believes they are among the top five teams for the NBA Championship race.
Kendrick Perkins said:
“New York Knicks are in the top five. Not in the conference, but in the League!”
Not only him but a few weeks ago, Stephen Smith and Zach Lowe backed the New York Knicks as title contenders.

Can the New York Knicks make it to the conference and NBA finals?
The New York Knicks have had a trophy drought since 2013. Their last division title came back in 1999, the conference in 1999, and the NBA Championship in 1973. Last year, they made it to the conference semi-finals but lost against the Miami Heat.
In the current season, they have a record of 33–19. They have defeated the Bucks, Cavaliers, Timberwolves, Nuggets, Heat, and various teams. This also means they have tasted victory against the top teams of the season, who are also possible playoff matchups.
Most importantly, key players like Jalen Brunson, Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo, and others have fired up. They have stood up to every challenge and have passed the test with flying colors. Altogether, the New York Knicks have a good squad and have a chance of winning championships.
