Milwaukee Bucks Vs Boston Celtics, NBA Playoffs(Game-3), Post-Match Analysis-7 May

Having split the matches 1-1 after the first two games, it was all but interesting to find out which side would make the third game to their name and the Bucks came out on top in the evenly contested match that was nothing short of excitement and thrill winning it 103-101 on the night.

After the first two matches where both the teams have looked evenly matched as the sides were level on 1-1 coming into Game-3, the third game seemed no different as the match ended just and only just in favour of the Bucks. The match was quiet tense for the fans of both parties but as a neutral fan, the game was nothing less than a powerpacked action thriller. As the first quarter went in favour of the Bucks, the Celtics picked themselves up and dominated the Bucks in the second quarter taking a lead of 46-50. Again in the third quarter the Bucks took back their lead and things went quite close in the last quarter as the match finished 103-101. Despite the brilliance of Antetokounmpo, who displayed one of the highest scoring individual performance of the season the match went down the wire until the final second of the match with neither team looking to give up. The Celtics players looked dejected at the end of the match as the defeat was too hard to swallow having had the best of their opposition in the last quarter of the game.

The match was pretty much in for the Celtics after the first 2 quarters but the dominance of Bucks’ players in the third quarter was too much to take for the Celtics as they went behind 80-67. The Celtics came back bravely in the last quarter and at one point it looked like they were heading for one of the greatest comebacks of the season but it was too late. Al Horford and Jaylen Brown put everything into the match having combined for a total 49 points but failed short of just 3 points in the end.

Milwaukee Bucks Match Report

Mike Budenholzer’s men suffered a gruesome defeat in Game-2 and were coming into the game full of confidence and focus. Bucks’ star Antetokounmpo yet again did what he does best and that is score freely as he picked up 42 points which gave his side the chance to take the game away from the Celtics. With the support of Jrue Holiday, the Bucks chipped away with the win and helped his side to a 2-1 lead in the palyoff tie.

Boston Celtics Match Report

The game might have been won by the Bucks but the performance that the Celtics boys pulled out was nothing short of appreciation. Having being 13 points behind at the end of the third quarter, no one believed that the game could end on such a close note. Jason Tatum had a bad day in the office as he looked absolutely clueless as the Bucks’ players marked him throughout the entire game. Jaylen Brown gave his side some hopes of a beautiful comeback but the mistakes made in the third quarter proved too costly for his team as Ime Usoka’s men fell short of time at the end.

Best Performers

Giannis Antetokounmpo:

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been in a breathtaking form all season long and last game was no different as he notched up 42 points, with 12 rebounds and 8 assists which ensured a great win for his team and also lifted his chances of winning the best player award at the end of the season.

Jaylen Brown:

Jaylen Brown was rather the only player in the Celtics team who managed to keep the match going until the last quarter and gave his team hopes of winning the match netting 27 points with 12 rebounds and 4 assists.

Jrue Holiday is in a stellar form and he delivered yet again for his team with his offensive abilities. He managed to pick up 25 points with 7 rebounds and 3 assists in last night.
