Currently, Green is in the third year of his four-year, $100 million contract with the Warriors. Recently, he made an appearance on the CHECCโN-IN podcast. He spoke about his motherโs tough financial condition before getting picked up by the Warriors in 2012.
He said, โMy rookie year, my accountant said, โHey, you should claim your mom on your taxesโโฆ I had to find out how much money she made. My mom was making $17K a year. I said, โWow, we really were poor.โ She never let me see that.โ
From $17,000 a year to a $2.6 million contract, indeed it was life-changing for Draymond Green and his family.
