The Australian driver and the Disney backed streaming service are reportedly in collaboration for a Formula One scripted series.
The search for a writer is underway. The logline details of the Formula One scripted series is not yet revealed. The probable storyline might be the Ricciardo-Verstappen rivalry in Red Bull. Or it could be his poor performance in McLaren.

Daniel Ricciardo is the executive producer of the series. The series is currently development stages. The series hails from ABC Signature, Lionsgate Television and Temple Hill’s Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Phoebe Zimmer and Sydney Title.
The Hollywood Reporter doesn’t specify the involvement of F1. Either in terms of just licensing the brand or team names or in terms of this actually being an Official F1 Product
Formula One is on the increase. The popularity of F1 surged after the Netflix juggernaut Drive To Survive. The series brought many fans to the sport. F1 attracted 1.55 billion viewers last year. The figures are up 4 percent from last year. Another fact that helped the popularity is the last year championship feud.
The popularity has drove many streaming services to the tracks. Apple recently launched a F1 Feature starring Brad Pitt. The 58 year-old actor will portray a driver coming out of retirement to race alongside a rookie. Furthermore, Netflix showed interest in the cancelled Kevin jones comedy show. Recently, Apple Studios also landed a documentary featuring Sir Lewis Hamilton.
