The Austrian Grand Prix 2024 will be the ninth race of the 2024 F1 season. The race will be at the Red Bull Ring, Spielberg. The upcoming race weekend will also showcase the fun and excitement of the F1 Sprint racing. It will be the second sprint racing of the year after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The Red Bull Ring first hosted an F1 race in 1970 and has remained on the calendar for the past 18 years.
This year FIA decided to change the format for the Sprint race. Last year, the race weekend consist of two practice sessions- Friday and Saturday, along with the Sprint race which decides the grid for the next race. However this weekend the new format allows the F1 Sprint race to be the main race. It has a Sprint Shootout in the morning and then in the afternoon. The final race of the weekend is on Sunday.

Austrian Grand Prix Introduces New F1 Sprint Format
The organizers have changed the F1 Sprint format for the Austrian GP this weekend. They have implemented new rules to host the second F1 Sprint race of the season. Drivers like Alonso and Max Verstappen are expressing their dislike for this new format. Max himself believes that this F1 Sprint format is killing the sport.
