Demetrious Johnson is back like he never left. After the UFC traded Demetrious to ONE Championship, he has shown that he is the Flyweight King at ONE.

What’s Next for Demetrious?
It’s difficult to debate Demetrious Johnson’s future plans given his impressive résumé. The new flyweight king still has three choices that are good ones.
A Moraes Trilogy?
The possibility of a trilogy fight between Johnson and Moraes now that they are tied at one point exists. The only difference between their two victories is the elevation at which the knee strike occurred, and the similarities between them are glaring.
Johnson received a knee to the jaw during their first encounter in April 2021 while he was on the ground. However, in their rematch, “Mighty Mouse” used a flying knee to clock Moraes.
Even though a third fight between Johnson and Moraes is too alluring to pass up, a rematch may not happen right away.
Demetrious Johnson vs Kairat Akhmetov
Demetrious Johnson could also face former world champion Kairat Akhmetov in a world title defense. The Kazakh, who is presently the No. 2 flyweight contender, has been on a tear, winning five straight matches.
Additionally, Akhmetov recently defeated Tatsumitsu Wada of Japan by unanimous decision at ONE 158 in June.
Demetrious Johnson vs John Lineker
Demetrious Johnson can always go after another world title in ONE Championship and compete against John Lineker for the bantamweight championship, even though the flyweight division is stacked.
In North America, Lineker and Johnson were flyweight competitors at the same time, but they were unable to face off. That might change now that they are in ONE Championship, with even higher stakes.
A superfight between the two competitors, who are both ONE Championship gold medalists, could practically knock MMA off its axis.
Demetrious Johnson vs Adriano Moraes 1
Johnson got some sweet payback. In April 2021, a knee by Moraes handed him his first knockout loss of his illustrious career. He returned the favor in highlight-reel style, knocking out the Brazilian with a two-punch combination that ended in a jumping knee.
