The 2024 season was disappointing for the Ferrari F1 team. They were expected to challenge Red Bull for the championship, but as the season progressed, they were challenging Mercedes for second place in the championship. Sadly, they ended up third among the constructors. Also, it was a disappointing season for their drivers, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, who finished 5th and 7th in the drivers standings, respectively. The only positive thing for the team was the victory at the Singapore Grand Prix. Ferrari was the only team in the 2024 season to win a Grand Prix apart from Red Bull. So let’s have a recap of the Ferrari F1 team 2024 season.

The Ferrari F1 team didn’t get the perfect start they desired, as Leclerc had a DNF in the very first race of the season. Also, they needed to wait for three Grand Prix to get their first podium of the season. But again, they had to wait for four Grand Prix to have their second podium finish of the season. They had only two podium finishes in 11 races until the Italian Grand Prix.
Things turned significantly for them after the Italian Grand Prix. In the remaining 11 races, they had seven podium finishes, including one win at the Singapore Grand Prix. Ferrari was slowly climbing the ladder and surpassed Aston Martin in the constructors’ championship.
Red Bull easily won both championships mid-season, and Ferrari’s only aim was to finish second. Their battle against Mercedes went down to the last race of the season, and they were just 4 points behind Mercedes. Sadly, the DNF of Carlos Sainz cost them second place in the constructors, and they fell short by 3 points.
The team is excited for the 2024 season and has promised the fans they will have a great season. Can the Ferrari F1 team challenge Red Bull for the championship? Do let us know your views in the comment section.
