The new era of football is evolving. Teams are steadily signing and grooming young players for their squads. Clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona are some of the examples. They have produced quality talents who are now the face of the club. Similarly, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has signed several youngsters, including English footballer Ethan Nwaneri.
The midfielder is an Arsenal academy player and joined the main team in 2022. He also made his debut against Brentford and became the youngest player to play for the club. Eyeing him as the future star, club manager Mikel Arteta has some wise words for him.

“He has got something unique.”

“Ethan Nwaneri has got something unique, something that I really liked from the beginning, and it is the ability to take the ball in tight areas. He does that as Jack Wilshere used to do.”
Currently, he is representing Arsenal’s under-18 and 21 teams. In the 2024–24 season, he made nine appearances and scored ten goals, including three assists. Being an attacking midfielder on the team, he has performed impressively for the club.
If he performs consistently for the club, he will surely be a regular member of the main squad. Till then, let us look at his stats and record in professional football.
