India vs Pakistan: India defeats Pakistan by 228 runs in the Asia Cup

India vs Pakistan is one of the biggest rivalries in any sport, and today, cricket witnessed one of them. India took on Pakistan in the 2024 Asia Cup in the Super Four stage and won the match. The Indian cricket team put on a total of 356 for the loss of 2 wickets and bowled out Pakistan for just 128 runs.

The game witnessed complete destruction by the Indian batsmen. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill completed another hundred-run partnership and both scored a half-century. After they got out, Virat Kohli and Kl Rahul smashed a two-hundred-run partnership and both scored centuries. They collectively scored a total of 356 runs and only lost two wickets.

Pakistan had a big total of 357 runs to chase. This is also the highest score ever in an India vs Pakistan ODI match. The game began with tight spells by Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. Both troubled the Pakistan openers, and Bumrah was the first one to have blood on his sword. He took the wicket of Iman-ul-Haq and announced his comeback.

Then Babar Azam came on and was troubled by Bumrah from the very first ball. But it was Hardik Pandya who cashed in first and bowled Babar’s stump. Pakistan lost three wickets by the end of the 12^th over for a score of 47.
