Daniel Ricciardo is set to return to Formula 1 at the United States Grand Prix

The Australian racer, Daniel Ricciardo, is all set to return to Formula 1 after his hand injury. He started his 2024 F1 season as a reserve driver for Red Bull but joined the Alpha Tauri team in mid-season. Ricciardo made his first appearance on the track during the 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix and the Belgian Grand Prix. But after that, he suffered from a fractured hand injury, which led Alpha Tauri to rest him and get a new driver on the team.

Liam Lawson came in as a replacement for him and performed amazingly for them. He drove the car better than Yuki Tsunoda, which created a lot of doubts about the Alpha Tauri seat in the next season. Well, all the questions were answered soon, as Alpha Tauri announced that Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo would race for them in the upcoming season.

Now, Ricciardo is all set to return to Formula 1 after five Grand Prix and will be back in the place of Liam Lawson on the team. The team is currently at the bottom of the Constructors Championship with just 5 points. Of those five points, three were by Yuki and two by Lawson.

Can Ricciardo do some magic for the team along with Yuki and place the team ahead of Williams in the seventh position of the remaining five racers? Or will this be their worst season in Formula 1 history? For that, we have to wait until the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to know where they end up. Till then, let’s enjoy the competition for the number two spot for drivers and the constructors championship.
