The 2024 season will have a Swiss-style format. Here is how every team will compete in the Champions League.
- 36 teams will qualify for the tournament and be part of one big league group.
- Each team will play eight matches, and all eight opponents will be different.
- The top eight teams in the league will automatically qualify for the round of 16 matches.
- The remaining eight teams’ spots will be filled through the playoff games.
- The team that finishes from 9th to 24th in the group stage will qualify for the playoffs. As a result, we will have 16 teams that will compete in the playoffs.
- With eight winners in the playoffs, we will get a round of 16 matches.
- From the Round of 16 matches, it will be the same format as it used to be earlier.
