BCCI Central Contracts: Players Ranking

Only three players in the top category have been retained by the board: skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, standout batter Smriti Mandhana, and all-rounder Deepti Sharma.

All three have been kept in the same category, with the exception of spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad, who has been dropped to the B category. Poonam Yadav, a leg spinner who played in the A category last year, has yet to contract after sliding down the pecking order. In March 2022, she made her final appearance for India. Shikha Pandey, who made an unexpected comeback for the T20 World Cup in South Africa, is out of contract alongside wicketkeeper Taniya Bhatia. After a great season, Pacer Renuka Thakur, who did not have a contract last year, has been slotted directly into the B category.

Richa Ghosh and Jemimah Rodrigues have advanced from C to B. Pacer Meghna Singh, batter Devika Vaidya, opener S Meghana, Radha Yadav, left-arm pacer Anjali Sarvani, and batter Yastika Bhatia are among the newcomers in Category C. Harleen Deol and Sneh Rana stay in the bottom division, while injury-prone all-rounder Pooja Vastrakar has been demoted from B to C.

The BCCI has fixed the number of agreements to 17 after announcing equal pay for women cricketers last year. Read More: SL vs IRE: 2nd Test Day 3 – Karunaratne, Madushka Tons Help Sri Lanka Regain Control
