With only one race left in the 2024 F1 season, teams are testing rookie drivers with their F1 cars for maybe a future seat on the team. Several drivers from F2 and F3 will be taking the wheel of the F1 cars at Abu Dhabi FP1. Every team except Alpha Tauri will be giving their cars to the rookie drivers to give them greater exposure to faster and lightweight cars.
As we all know, Red Bull has won both championships of the 2024 season, so both of their cars will be handed over to youngsters in the first practice session. On the other hand, Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo, Alpine, Haas, and Williams will be giving one car each to the rookie drivers.

Quick fact about the drivers
Red Bull
Jake Dennis is the 2022–23 Formula E World Champion. Whereas, Isack Hadjar is the 2021 Formula European Rookie Champion.
Mercedes
Frederik Vesti is currently second at the F2 Championship.
Ferrari
Robert Shwartzman is the 2019 F3 Champion and is also the reserve driver for the Ferrari F1 team.

Pato O’Ward finished 4th in the 2024 IndyCar series and is the 2018 Indy Lights Champion.
Aston Martin

Jack Doohan is a reserve driver for the Alpine F1 team and currently stands 4th in the F2 Championship.

Oliver Bearman currently stands 6th in the F2 Championship 2 with Prema Racing.

Zak O’Sullivan has finished second in the 2024 F3 Championship.
