Champions League football comes back this week with a mouthwatering tie. The English champions will face the mighty Bayern Munich.
The Bavarian giants will come into the tie with a lot of changes. Just a few weeks back, Bayern sacked Julian Nagelsmann claiming he had lost the dressing room. Reports also suggested that with Nagelsmann in charge they thought their treble charge was in danger.
Thomas Tuchel who is known for his Champions League exploits with Chelsea was appointed as a replacement. However, Tuchel didn’t get off to an ideal start with his new team either. Earlier this week, Bayern were knocked out of the domestic cup by Freiburg.

Bayern will miss their main striker Choupo-Mouting struggling with a knee injury. Kimmich will also have to be careful, with one yellow away from getting suspended from the second leg.
City, on the other hand are in great form. They currently sit at 2nd position in the league table behind Arsenal. Although, Guardiola has enjoyed huge domestic success with the Citizens, he is still searching for his maiden UCL title with them.
One of the positives for City this season has been Haaland’s crazy form. Scoring 42 goals across all competitions, he has been pivotal for the Manchester club. City fans will surely hope Haaland to turn up on this big ocassion as well.
