“I think one day I will join the Saudi Pro League,” says Jose Mourinho

After Cristiano Ronaldo joined the Saudi club, Al Nassr FC, there was quite a drastic change in Saudi football. Several players from top leagues around the world were signed by Saudi teams, and football got to know about the Saudi Pro League. Not just players, but coaches were also offered big contracts to manage their clubs. The Portuguese manager, Jose Mourinho, was also one of them.

Well, he denied the offer and said, “I have given words to AS Roma fans and players, and I will stay with the club for this season.” Well, recently, in an interview, he said something that will bring some smiles to the faces of Saudi clubs.

The Portuguese manager, Jose Mourinho, said,

“I think one day I will join the Saudi Pro League.”

Mourinho also mentioned, “It will happen, yes, but not shortly.”

Before the 2024 season began, he was offered €30 million per season to join Al Hilal SFC. But he refused the contract, as he had given word to AS Roma players and fans.

Well, there were conversations that he would be joining Real Madrid in 2024. But he responded by saying,

“I’m a Madridista, and I hope Ancelotti will stay there. He is the perfect coach for Real Madrid.”
