Arsenal Plans to build a statue honoring the late manager Arsene Wenger by 2023

Arsenal has reportedly been working on plans to erect a statue in honor of their renowned former manager Arsene Wenger after he returned to the Emirates Stadium.

After leaving his position as Arsenal manager on Boxing Day. Wenger, who won 10 titles in over two decades in north London, made his first trip back to N5. He watched from the stands as Mikel Arteta’s team overcame a deficit to defeat West Ham.

Additionally, the Daily Telegraph reports that preparations are being made to erect a statue outside the Emirates Stadium as early as 2023.

Around the stadium, Arsenal has already constructed monuments of Herbert Chapman, Tony Adams, Dennis Bergkamp, and Thierry Henry, with Wenger about to join.

Arsene Wenger Potential return to Gunners

“I think he has made it clear that I would love to see him again. I believe he can open any window or door in this football club whenever he is ready and deems that it is appropriate to do so,”the Spaniard added.

“He is aware of that from both my side and from numerous other individuals in the football club. And hopefully, that will happen soon since I believe he will inspire and that his return will make a lot of people very happy”.
