In preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2022, defending champion France has announced its preliminary 25-man squad. Didier Deschamps has drawn attention with some daring selections. The Les Bleus remain one of the tournament favorites, even if not by a wide margin, despite the injuries to N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba, two of France’s key midfield players.
France will try to defend their World Cup title, hoping to join Italy (1934, 1938) and Brazil as the third country to win two consecutive World Cups (1958, 1962).

1. Karim Benzema
Karim Benzema, the pride of Real Madrid and France, has been recorded as one of the best strikers of all time. Additionally, he received his first Ballon d’Or award of his career and he was well deserving of it. This will be his second world cup after his 2014 appearance. He surely has that big-stage gameplay that everyone wants from their big players. Benzema has gained a lot of respect for his play at Real Madrid. He has scored 5 goals and assisted 1 goal. The stats could have been better, but due to his injury, they rested him on some games.
There is no doubt that Karim Benzema will be playing his best in this tournament and seeing his current performance, he is gonna score some bangers.
2. Kylin Mbappe
Kylian Mbappe is no stranger to FIFA. This young man helped his team win the 2018 world cup and has been the real hero of the tournament. He was the youngest player to score in FIFA 2018 and second youngest after Pele to score in the final. Even his current performance while playing for PSG is just amazing to watch. Scoring 18 goals and assisting 2 goals shows the temperament of this player. France has very strong forwards and Mbappe fits perfectly.
The world cup will be his second appearance in FIFA, and he will surely give it everything to win it.
