IPL is a batter’s game. Short boundaries, field restrictions, favorable rules, and fans’ affection towards the batters. 10. James Faulkner
James Faulkner, the Aussie T20 specialist picked 5 wickets in 4 overs and conceded just 16 runs. These numbers take him to number 10 in the list of all-time best bowling figures in IPL. He was the backbone of the Rajasthan Royals during his time at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. He played as a genuine all-rounder and rescued Rajasthan many times out of dire situations.
9. Ravindra Jadeja
Ravindra Jadeja, the allrounder from CSK bowled a tight spell of 4 overs giving just 16 overs, and claimed five scalps. This is the 9th best bowling figure in the IPL. Jadeja over the years has only got better and better, not only with a bowl in hand but with a bat too.
8. Andre Russell
Andre Russell, an interesting name here, had a very interesting spell of 2 overs against Mumbai Indians in the 2021 IPL where he took 5 wickets in just 12 balls. He did grant 15 runs, but who cares when he picked 5 wickets in 12 balls. Well, his slower balls were slowed down even further thanks to the track of Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
7. Ankit Rajpoot
Ankit Rajput does feature at number 7 as he had figures of 4-0-14-5 against SRH in 2018. The numbers seem to be even better when you come to know the economy of the spell was just 3.50. Ankit Rajpoot was the spearhead of Punjab’s bowling attack in the IPL 2018.

6. Lasith Malinga
Lasith Malinga has been regarded as the best bowler IPL has ever had. In 2011 IPL, he took a 5-fer against Delhi Daredevils. Incredibly, out of 3.4 overs, 1 over was a maiden over and had an excellent economy of 3.54. Lasith, numerous times has saved Mumbai Indians with his fantastic bowling performances.
5. Ishant Sharma
Ishant Sharma occupies the number 5 spot in the list of best bowling features in the history of IPL. The spell came way back in 2011 when he was part of Deccan Chargers. The numbers are 3-0-12-5. Ishant evolved as a Test bowler over the next few years, but at the same time lost the skills required for T20 cricket.
4. Anil Kumble
The protagonist leg spinner Anil Kumble bowled an absolutely incredible spell in 2009 against Rajasthan Royals. Anil had some wonderful years at RCB. This time ‘Jumbo’ took 5 wickets in 3.1 overs. More intriguingly, he just conceded 5 runs. Can you believe it? The economy column showed 1.57.
3. Adam Zampa
Adam Zampa, another leg spinner from Australia had a superb outing in the colors of Rising Pune Super Giants in 2016 when he took 6 wickets for just 14 runs. 2. Sohail Tanvir
Sohail Tanvir, the T20 specialist from Pakistan was part of Rajasthan Royals in the inaugural IPL season. In the match against CSK, he took a 6-fer by conceding just 14 runs in 4 overs. The economy of 3.50 speaks volumes about his skills. Sohail played a vital role in the title-winning season for Rajasthan Royals in 2008.
1. Alzarri Joseph
Alzarri Joseph, a wiry kid from West Indies, made headlines by picking a 6 wicket haul in his IPL debut match. He was playing for Mumbai Indians. He literally blew the SRH lineup by the fiery spell of bowling. Look at figures 3.4-1-12-6. He sits right at the top of the list of all-time best IPL bowling figures. Sadly, he got injured, made a comeback, played 2 more matches without any success.
