The 2022 IPL mega auction is thriving more and more interesting every minute where Ishan Kishan becomes 10 second highest paid Indian cricketer in IPL history. He is also the most expensive player in this year’s auction so far. On the very first day of the auction, we have seen some interesting bids like that of Faf du Plessis who has been bought by RCB. Earlier, Sri Lanka spinner Wanindu Hasaranga was picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for Rs 10.75 crore. While India all-rounder Washington Sundar was picked up by SunRisers Hyderabad for Rs 8.75 crore. Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh garnered interest from quite a few franchises. IPL Auction 2022- Nicholas Pooran bought by SRH
West Indies cricketer Nicholas Pooran’s base price was Rs 1.5crore and he was eventually bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad at the IPL Auction. This eminent player saw bids coming from SRH and CSK in the starting. KKR entered into the bidding war a bit later driving up his value above the Rs 10 crore mark. SRH were too not willing to give up on him and eventually bought the player for Rs 10 crore 75 lakhs.

In 2020, Pooran scored 353 runs at an impressive strike rate of 169.71 in14 games. Strong, muscular and good on both sides of the wicket. Nicholas Pooran is a nightmare for most bowlers. Add his exceptional fielding skills to the mix, and Pooran is the total package. However, the last season of IPL was not very much productive for him as he scored just 85 runs in 12 matches with 3 fours and 5 sixes.
