“So let’s Party!” Ravi Shastri in the new CRED ad will leave you in the spits

Ravi Shastri is the latest addition to the amazing Cred ads.

Cred has broken many barriers in the context of how they present their ads in cooler and fresher ways. Their ads are more creative and innovative which can be fun and engage the audience.

Cred has come up with many such ‘cool’ ads in the past featuring the current Indian coach Rahul Dravid and pacers Javagal Srinath and Venkatesh Prasad. Former Indian coach Ravi Shastri is the latest addition to the Cred ads.

The fun ad is presenting Shastri in a never-seen-before avatar and everyone can’t get enough of the cool dude looks that the CRED team has managed to pull off in this ad, showing Shastri as a party freak.

The advertisement starts with a spoof of Sharukh Khan’s famous “70 minutes” monologue from Chak De! India, where Shastri encourages his team to ‘Happy Hour’ party.

Acing the acting skills, Shastri has done an excellent job, even while going to a medical store and asking for ‘Cough Syrup, on the rocks’. Since Friday, he has been promoting the CRED advertisement with multiple tweets and has his Twitter bio changed to “Happy hours always.”

Shastri was known all over the world for his all-around skills. When he retired, he took up a job in cricket broadcasting and became a commentator. He called many memorable moments for India, including Yuvraj hitting 6 sixes and MS Dhoni hitting the World Cup-winning six in the final. He later became coach of the Indian cricket team, helping India beat Australia twice in their backyard. He was replaced by Rahul Dravid as an Indian coach after last year’s T20 World Cup.
