Another big score witnessed in the battle between Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings. The 32nd match of the IPL was scheduled at Dubai International Stadium. While the Royals stand at the 6th position, Punjab Kings are just behind them at the 7th position. Punjab managed to keep RR below 200 and dismissed the team for 185 runs, all eyes on the magnificent bowler. However the match turned out to be a shocker for Punjab as the young bowler did magic. Starting with the match, Punjab won the toss and decided to bowl first. Bowlers like Mohammad Shami, Harpreet Brar and Arshdeep Singh delivered an amazing spell. But on the other hand Deepak Hooda and Adil Rashid went expensive with an economy of 18.5 and 11.67. On the other side Rajasthan started off strongly as openers batted well. Evin Lewis scored 36 off 21 and Yashasvi Jaiswal just fell short of 1 run to complete his fifty. However after the 16th over, the whole team collapsed and went from 166 for 5 to 185 for all out.
In the 2nd innings, Punjab also took off well with KL Rahul and Mayank batting aggressively. Both the batsmen seemed to be confident and gave a good start by taking the team to 106 in 10 overs. Mayank Agarwal mustered the bowlers and scored a brilliant 67 off 43. While KL Rahul fell short off 1 run to complete his fifty as he got dismissed on 49. Furthermore to ensure the win, Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram gave a glimpse of their small but gutsy knock. However in the 20th over tables turned so quickly as Kartik Tygai dismissed 2 batsmen. As a result, Punjab lost the match by 3 runs though they only required 4 off the last over.
Man of the Match
The young fast bowler shone as he turned the tables and paved the way for Rajasthan. Kartik Tyagi proved himself today by stealing the match from Punjab in the last over. He dismissed Nicholas and Deepak Hooda and just conceded 1 run off his over. His death bowling has come to the spotlight after the match and will surely be looked up in International games.
