Virat Kohli, the star batter, took to social media to share a photo of a water bottle he discovered while on a winter trip to Uttrakhand which made him laugh. In addition, the water bottle’s label featured a photo of former captain MS Dhoni.
What did Virat Kohli say?
“He is everywhere, even on a water bottle,” Kohli wrote on his Instagram story tagging Dhoni.
However, this is not the first time Kohli said something about Dhoni. The relationship between Dhoni and Kohli is an inspiration to the younger generation. Kohli has frequently stated how much Dhoni has helped him throughout his career and how much he admires the two-time World Cup-winning captain.
Kohli revealed earlier this year that Dhoni was the only person to text him when he decided to resign as Test captain. He then revealed that Dhoni’s message had inspired him.
What did Kohli say about Dhoni?
“The only person who has genuinely reached out to me has been MS Dhoni. And for me that is such a blessing to know that I could have such a strong bond and such a strong relationship with someone who is such a senior to me where things are. It is a friendship which is based on a lot of mutual respect,” Kohli had said on RCB Podcast.
“It is one of the things he mentioned in the same message reaching out to me, that when you are expected to be strong and looked at as strong individual, people forget to ask how are you doing? So, it hit home to me, it was like this is it,” he added.
