The former boxer George Foreman is accused of raping two women when they were just teenagers. According to court documents, both the women were minors at the time.
Foreman: Lawsuit
According to the court documents, the women filed lawsuits against the Hall of Fame fighter on Tuesday. Allegedly saying that he had sex with them in the 1970s when they were between the ages of 13 and 16.

Official Filing
The filings use the pseudonyms Denise S. and Gwen H. to identify the two women. The allegations refer to Foreman, 73, not by name but rather as a “former professional heavyweight boxer who went professional in 1969” and “defeated Joe Frazier in 1973 to become the heavyweight champion.”

Foreman said he refuted the claims in a statement sent to the New York Times by representatives of the Olympic gold medalist. When contacted for comment, the former boxer was silent.

Official Statement: Foreman
Foreman has said, “Over the past six months, two women have been trying to extort millions of dollars each from me and my family. They are falsely claiming that I sexually abused them over 45 years ago in the 1970s.” He also said, “I adamantly and categorically deny these allegations.”Â
“I will work with my lawyers to fully and honestly expose my accusers’ plot and defend myself in court,” Foreman continued. I don’t pick fights, but I don’t run away from them either. “
Plantiff’s Claims
The plaintiff, who went by the name Denise S., claimed in her lawsuit that Foreman first met her when she was 8 years old and groomed her over the following few years.

Denise S.
Denise S. was allegedly sexually assaulted by Foreman several times in 1976, including at a hotel in San Francisco.
According to the documents, “At all relevant times, Plaintiff was a minor of approximately 13–16 years of age. And had no ability or legal capacity to consent to the aforementioned sexual acts.” Adding that Foreman would have been around 24 at the time of the alleged assault.
Gwen H.
The woman, who identified herself as “Gwen H.”, claimed that Foreman began abusing her when she was just 15 years old. In her lawsuit, she alleges that Foreman, who employed her father, threatened to have him fired if she disobeyed his requests.
Prior to turning 16, Gwen H. claims that Foreman sexually assaulted her multiple times.
Legal Team’s Statement
The legal team for both women says they “suffered injuries including, but not limited to, physical and mental pain and suffering, physical injuries, past and future costs of medical care and treatment, and past and future loss of earnings and earning capacity, in an amount not yet ascertained. But which exceeds the minimum jurisdictional limits of this Court.” The women are asking for a jury trial.
The New Law
The claims were made under a California law that permitted victims of child sexual abuse to file civil lawsuits, according to the Times. The law went into effect in January 2020 and will end at the end of 2022, according to the outlet.
