Man City Stuns The German Giants, Bayern Needs The Comeback Of a Lifetime

WOW, What a game by Manchester City. 3-0 against Bayern, what a stellar performance they had. Can they win the whole thing this year?

On the pages of the history book, you might find the story of giants falling, and the story of the destruction of the Empire but it is a rare case that Bayern had a tale of trouble. But, Oh Boy… Manchester City had other plans, and they executed them in a perfect way

The Manchester City project is ready, Haaland was the missing piece of the puzzle and now they establish itself as the true threat.

Pep’s team defeated the German Giants by a 3-0 scoreline and his former side looked clueless in the later stage of the game.

The story of Manchester City regarding the UCL throne was the same since 2016. They also came up short or choked at some stages. But with this win, it will be like a statement.

“It was not comfortable. Emotionally I’m destroyed,” said Guardiola. “I have 10 more years [on me] today. It was so demanding game.”

“Now I have to relax, a day off for the guys, prepare for Leicester. I know exactly what you have to do there. If you don’t perform really well they are able to score one, two, three. I know that. The players know that. It’s an incredible result, but we have to do our game with huge, huge personality.”

Pep said during his interview. “They had the chances to score goals,” he added. “A corner, a header, we try to analyze many things when it’s little details. I had the feeling that other teams in the previous season had less chances than Bayern and scored goals.”

Thomas Tuchel said during his interview, “The result doesn’t reflect the game. We showed real character. We played well for the first 20 minutes of the second half, but weren’t rewarded. We went behind to a long-range goal. The reaction was very good, even more so in the second half. We tried to swing the momentum back in our favor. Obviously, everyone is disappointed. It didn’t feel like a 3-0 loss, but that’s what it is. It’s a big ask to turn it around, but we won’t give up. A home game in Germany is a home game in Germany. It’s not over until it’s over.”

Rodri had a great day on the field and it’s reflected in his words, “It’s a great result for us, but the way the team played was also great. The key for me today was our defensive performance. We also understood how to punish them. We understand we can’t always have 80 percent possession – other teams can play, too. We scored three, but it could have been four. We don’t think we’re already through. We’ll try to win in Munich.”
