Bellator 284: Gracie vs Yamauchi Prediction, Odds, Preview, Live Streaming Details

Neiman Gracie (11-3) and Goiti Yamauchi (27-5) fight in the main event’s five rounds of welterweight action. Valentin Moldavsky (11-2), the current No. 1 contender at 170 pounds, takes on unbeaten No. 5 contender Steve Mowry (10-0) in the co-main event.

Ilima-Lei Macfarlane (11-2), the No. 4 ranked flyweight, and Bruna Ellen (6-3), are opponents on the card as well. Additionally, Aaron Jeffery (12-3) faces off against No. 2-ranked middleweight Austin Vanderford, who has recently challenged for the title. Furthermore, the No. 9 and No. 10 heavyweights, Said Sowma (8-3) and Gokhan Saricam (7-1), square off. Below is a list of the entire lineup.

Bellator 284: Gracie vs. Yamauchi takes place at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, SD on Friday, August 12. Five fights are on the fight card, which will be broadcast live on Showtime after several live YouTube matches. There are still a number of tickets available for the event.

Since moving up to the welterweight division in February 2015, Gracie has a record of 8-3.

Ten of Gracie’s eleven victories in his professional career have been via stoppage. Gracie and A.J. McKee has the second-most submission victories in Bellator history, trailing only Yamauchi (nine).

Yamauchi holds the record for most submission wins in Bellator history with nine. The most submission victories in the history of the lightweight division in Bellator belong to Yamauchi, with five. The most rear-naked choke submission victories in Bellator history belong to Yamauchi with five.

Valentin Moldavsky vs. Steve Mowry

In the history of the heavyweight division, Valentin Moldavsky (11-2 MMQ, 6-1 BMMA) is tied for third with Tyrell Fortune (12) and Cheick Kongo (13) in terms of victories.

Five of Moldavsky’s six victories in Bellator have been decisions. The longest active streak in the heavyweight division belongs to Steve Mowry, who has won six consecutive fights in Bellator (10-0 MMA, 6-0 BMMA). Behind Kongo (13) and Fortune (12) in the division’s history, Mowry is tied for third with six victories in Bellator heavyweight competition.

All 10 of Mowry’s victories throughout his career have come via stoppage. With six stoppage victories in Bellator heavyweight competition, Mowry is tied with Fortune (nine) for second-most in divisional history. Mowry holds the record for the most submission wins in Bellator heavyweight history with four.

Ilima-Lei Macfarlane vs. Bruna Ellen

At Bellator 186 in November 2017, Ilima-Lei Macfarlane (11-2 MMA, 10-2 BMMA) defeated Emily Ducote to win the first Bellator flyweight title.

Before losing her title, Macfarlane had successfully defended it four times in a row, which is a company record.

With five victories in Bellator title matches, Macfarlane is tied with Freire (11) and Chandler (6) for third place all-time. Macfarlane is competing in her 13th Bellator flyweight match, which is a division record. After starting her career 11-0, Macfarlane has now lost her last two matches. Macfarlane leads all female competitors in Bellator with 10 victories.

In the history of the flyweight division in Bellator, Macfarlane leads with 10 victories. The most among Bellator’s female fighters, Macfarlane leads the division with seven stoppage victories. Macfarlane holds the record for the most knockout wins in Bellator flyweight history with seven. The most in the history of the flyweight division is Macfarlane’s six submission wins in Bellator competition.

DeAnna Bennett vs. Justine Kish

In her 12-match professional career, DeAnna Bennett (12-7-1 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) has won eight decisions. That includes both of her victories in Bellator.

Since moving up to flyweight in January 2018, Justine Kish (8-5 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) has a record of 2-4.

Sullivan Cauley vs. Tyson Jeffries

Tyson Jeffries (14-11 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) makes his first appearance in a fight since May 2018. Since November 2015, he hasn’t been successful.
