The Inaugural Edition of the Howzat Legends league cricket was held from 20th Jan to 29th Jan 2022 in Oman. Ex-players from all over the world played in this league from the likes of Kevin Petersen, Shoaib Akhtar, Irfan Pathan, and many more. The final was played between Asia lions and World Giants on 29th January in which the world giants won by 25 runs, courtesy, Corey Anderson’s brilliant 94 runs innings and Kevin Petersen’s decent 48. They posted a massive target of 256 in 20 overs. Asia lions on the other hand did play fairly well but were not able to cross the finish line. The legends league attracted eyeballs from around the world as many fans got the opportunity to see the masterclass of ex-players once again.
