The Spanish racer, Fernando Alonso, has a 100% Q3 appearance rate in the 2024 F1 season. He has successfully executed the “EL-Plan” mission with his new team, Aston Martin. So far, he has secured seven podium finishes in 17 races, with a total of 183 points in the driver’s standings. Other drivers like Carlos Sainz, Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, and Charles Leclerc come in second on the list with 88%.
He won’t be winning the 2024 F1 Championship, as Max Verstappen has already been crowned the champion mid-season. Well, he stands 4th on the F1 standings and is fighting for the number 2 spot. The second Red Bull racer stands second on the list with 224 points, followed by Lewis Hamiton with 194 points and himself in the fourth position.
To be honest, since the summer break in Formula 1, Fernando Alonso has found it difficult to be consistent and has failed to stand on the podium. When the season had begun, he was securing back-to-back podium finishes for the team and was one of the competitors to Max Verstappen for the F1 Championship. His race finishes have been disappointing, but his qualifying has been top-notch.
With a total of five Grand Prix left, can he win a Grand Prix after 10 years in Formula 1? For that, we have to wait and hope that he pulls out something incredible for the team.
