Novak Djokovic won his 3rd French Open title on Sunday (June 11) by beating Casper Ruud 7-6(7-1), 6-3, 7-5 on Court Philippe-Chatrier. Congratulations poured in from all over the world for the Serb and one of them to shower praise was Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Tsitsipas’ touching message was such that it went quickly viral among other tweets.
He wrote: “@DjokerNole, you’ve touched hearts with your unwavering spirit and strong determination.
“Your ability to bounce back from challenges has become a symbol of hope for fans around the world. Thank you for showing us that with hard work and passion, dreams can become a reality.”
The World number five was sent packing from the tournament by Carlos Alcaraz in the quarterfinals. And such a heartfelt note from him was admired by many.
However, a Twitter user by the name of @ItzzZain10 caught the Greece red-handed. He hilariously accused Tsitsipas of using ChatGPT for writing the message. His notes were exactly what ChatGPT answers when asked for a congratulatory message template. Novak Djokovic returns to World No.1 after French Open win
After his 23rd Grand Slam win at the French Open, Novak Djokovic reclaimed the world’s number-one ranking from Carlos Alcaraz on Monday. He now started his record-extending 388th week at the top rank.
The Spaniard on the other hand dropped to the second spot while Daniil Medvedev now occupies the third spot. Alcaraz’s fellow Spaniard Rafael Nadal, a 14-time French Open winner dropped from 15th to 136th in the ranking, enduring this lowest rank for the first time in two decades. He did not play French Open due to the hip injury he sustained at the Australian Open this January.
