Joel Embiid scores 38 points to lead the 76ers against the Hornets and to their seventh straight victory

JoJo has been in excellent form.

At the moment, Joel Embiid is the man. The center for the Philadelphia 76ers is recording incredible stats. He may have been working quietly the entire season, but nobody has noticed. Never before. For the past several games, JoJo has been in excellent form, and we don’t believe it will end anytime soon.

The Philadelphia 76ers crushed the Charlotte Hornets 121-82 as Joel Embiid maintained his sizzling form. In just 29 minutes of action, “The Process” concluded with 38 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, and four blocks for yet another utterly dominant performance.

In a game the 76ers (47-22) lead by 42 points in the second half, Joel Embiid scored 12 points in each of the first two quarters before going to bed early. The many 76ers supporters at Charlotte’s Spectrum Center once serenaded Embiid in each half with screams of “MVP! MVP!” in addition to his five assists. For Philadelphia, James Harden scored 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. The Harden-Embiid pick-and-roll was rife by the middle of the second quarter, when the 29-year-old seemed to be playing at the top of his game. In the second quarter, Harden handed out six assists and moved over Bob Cousy to take over 20th place on the NBA’s all-time assists record. Despite having a poor shooting night (4 for 15 from the field and 0 for 6 from beyond the arc), the 33-year-old still managed to record his 74th triple-double in his career.

Joel Embiid overtakes Nikola Jokic to claim the NBA MVP title

Throughout the previous two MVP elections, Joel Embiid came in second place to Nikola Jokic. Prior to Philly’s ascent in the Eastern Conference standings on the strength of his outstanding performances, it seemed as though nothing was going to change this season. In the race for the top record in the East, the Philadelphia 76ers (47-22) are now only 2.5 games back of the Milwaukee Bucks (50-20). There are 12 games left on Philadelphia’s schedule. The NBA may find it difficult to refuse Joel Embiid the MVP award if the 76ers somehow manage to win the East on his scorching play.

Joel Embiid is leading the NBA in scoring with a 33.5-point average per game. He is averaging 36.8 points on 60 percent field goal shooting during the Sixers’ six straight victories. NBA.com has noted his recent dominance to include both his offensive and defensive prowess.
