After defeating the Dallas Mavericks on the road, the Atlanta Hawks won their fourth straight game. They kept moving up the Eastern Conference standings. With 30 points in the Atlanta Hawks’ 130-122 victory at the American Airlines Center, Dejounte Murray led the team.
Young added 18 points and 12 assists, and the Hawks defeated the Dallas Mavericks 130-122.
As Atlanta won a season-high fourth straight game to move back over.500 at 23-22, John Collins added 19 points.

Dejounte Murray led Hawks for the 4th straight win
When Luka Doncic and Trae Young faced off. It was meant to be a showdown between the two NBA Draft stars. But Dejounte Murray stole the show. Doncic missed the Mavs’ previous game in Portland due to a sore ankle. But it was clear he would play against his draught classmate.
Murray’s accurate shooting and Young’s quick thinking of the pick and roll and in transition helped the Hawks get out to a quick start and light up the scoreboard. Atlanta scored 40 points in the first 12 minutes thanks to his five first quarter assists.
“These are the traits we were hoping for with (Murray) and Trae,” coach Nate McMillan said. “Trae did a wonderful job… seeing that (Murray) had a fresh hand, was feeling it, and was in a rhythm, which we attempted to exploit.”
At the conclusion of the first quarter. Atlanta experienced a fright when Young twisted his ankle on a cameraman’s foot underneath the hoop. He had to go to the restroom, but he came back in the second quarter after a brief absence.
