Derrick White, the current Eastern Conference Player of the Week, maintained his impressive performances on Tuesday night with a 27-point, 12-assist effort. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough, and he and the depleted Boston Celtics lost to the Milwaukee Bucks 131-125, in overtime.
Even worse, Derrick White and Company received more bad news than just the defeat. According to Jared Greenberg, the seasoned point guard had to remain in Milwaukee to see an ear specialist, owing to difficulty hearing out of his left ear. White will most certainly miss the Celtics’ final game before the All-Star break on Wednesday night against the Detroit Pistons because of this, though specifics are currently unclear. Derrick White Injury Incident
White attempted to sneak between Jevon Carter and Grayson Allen to go to the hoop early in the second quarter. But he lost grip of the ball as Allen grabbed his arm. He recovered to force a jump ball even though no foul was called on the play. But in the process, they struck him in the side of the head. White quickly clutched at his ear and appeared to be in pain. Despite the fact that the touch didn’t seem to be too serious. He continued to play, though, and finished with a season-high in playing time.
Derrick White, meanwhile, reportedly stayed behind in Milwaukee Bucks and did not return to Boston with the team after the game because he needs to consult an ear specialist since he is having difficulties hearing out of his left ear, according to TNT’s Jared Greenberg.
White has been averaging 22.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game over his last seven games while shooting 43.6 percent from outside the arc. After his performance on Tuesday, White has now accomplished a career-first feat of amassing three straight point-assist double-doubles. Is Jayson Tatum Playing against Detroit Pistons
They labeled Jayson Tatum as out according to the most recent injury report. They stated that a non-covid disease was to blame. He’ll probably miss this one as well because of the back-to-back. Jayson Tatum is without a doubt one of the league’s top players. Putting up 30.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game while guiding the Cs to the best record. He currently ranks third on the MVP ranking. And if he stays healthy and fit, he might potentially challenge for the trophy. This all-star weekend, he will also take part in the 3-point competition.
