“Red Bull is still good, but we have a much better basis!” Charles Leclerc after the pre-season testing

This year’s pre-season testing has turned out to be great for every team. The Mercedes F1 team’s response was good; Aston Martin mentioned they have improved, and many more. Similarly, Charles Leclerc feels that Ferrari has also improved. But he mentioned something that might bring back flashbacks of the previous Red Bull season.

Charles Leclerc, after the pre-season testing, said:

“It is difficult to say where we stand. There were no negative surprises. My feeling is that Red Bull is still a good way ahead. But we now have a much better basis!”

This year, we might have a proper Red Bull vs. Ferrari battle for the championship. They didn’t have a proper battle last season because Leclerc had his pole with him, and Verstappen had his win.

It was almost a routine that Leclerc would be the fastest in qualifying and Verstappen in the race.

Let’s hope this season we will get a great championship battle between them. Maybe even Mercedes can join them.

Lewis Hamilton, after the pre-season testing, said:

“We have improved with this year’s car, and it is much nicer to drive! We still have progress to make, of course. But this is a good foundation for us to build on.”

Can we get a three-way battle between Mercedes, Red Bull, and Ferrari? Or will Ferrari and Mercedes have to fight for the second spot because Red Bull will be flying? Let us know your views in the comment section.
