Imagine being 18 years old and getting a call from the Ferrari team to race in an F1 Grand Prix. Moreover, with only one practice section, outperform experienced drivers in qualifying, finish in points in the race, and win Driver of the Day. Yes, all this is not imagination because Oliver Bearman did it in the Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
The youngster was called to make his F1 debut as Ferrari racing driver Carlos Sainz was diagnosed with appendicitis. Sainz was hospitalized, and Bearman replaced him for the Grand Prix. He impressed everyone with his performance, including several Formula 1 racers.
Before Bearman made his debut, he had gotten a message from a former Ferrari driver who is also one of his idols.
Oliver Bearman said:
“I got a message from one of my heroes, Sebastian Vettel, which was nice before the race. So thanks, Seb.”
Bearman had a dream F1 debut. This was his first ever Formula 1 car experience, and he had to perform at the ultimate stage.

When Bearman was asked about his F1 debut experience, he said:
“I am quite young, so that is cool. I grew up watching these guys fight. It was a pleasure to share the track with them.”
Not only that, he impressed several F1 drivers, including Charles Leclerc. After this race, Oliver Bearman might be a name in F1 team discussions for a driver in 2025.
