A few months ago, Christian Horner hinted to us that Hamilton would join Ferrari, and no one believed him. But here we are. Lewis Hamilton will race for the Ferrari F1 team in the 2025 season, and Charles Leclerc will partner him.
It wasn’t an easy decision for him to leave his team, of which he had been a part for decades. The decision to leave Mercedes was the hardest decision of his life, and here is what he said.
Lewis Hamilton said:
“The time is right for me to take this step, and I am excited to be taking on a new challenge.”

Lewis Hamilton was part of the Mercedes F1 team for 11 years and won six F1 championships. His journey with them will not only be remembered in the history books of Mercedes but also in Formula 1.
