We are only into the first week of the F1 2024 season, and things have spiced up. The Red Bull F1 team began the season with a dominant start. On the other hand, Ferrari, Mercedes, and other competitors have shown some signs of improvement. While these have been happening, rumors are around of Max Verstappen joining Mercedes in 2025, which was put to an end by Verstappen in no time.
Max Verstappen, on his Mercedes joining rumors, said:
“The intention is to stay with this team! I have no reason to leave Red Bull.”
Undoubtedly, leaving the fastest car on the grid doesn’t make any sense. Red Bull will have the fastest car on the grid until 2025. No team is closer to them, including Ferrari, Mercedes, and McLaren.
In case you missed: “Oliver Bearman will soon be on the F1 grid!” says Charles Leclerc
Similarly, when Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff was asked about the same, he said:
“The market is interesting. For a driver, the most important thing is to be with whoever is fastest, and there is no reason now for Max Verstappen to leave Red Bull anytime soon. But we will see what happens!”
The ending, ‘But we will see what happens!’ brought some twists to the story. But after Verstappen released the above statement, the story ended.

But after the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Toto Wolff said:
“I would love to have Max Verstappen in a Mercedes. There is no team up and down in the grid who wouldn’t do handstands to have him in their car.”
This new statement has left F1 fans in shock. One of Red Bull’s biggest rival teams is openly talking about having Red Bull’s driver. Mercedes needs a better driver to partner with George Russell for the 2025 season.
Carlos Sainz is probably the best option available, but Max Verstappen is the perfect option they need. Verstappen is a beast and has been phenomenal since his F1 debut. Max is by far the best driver on the grid. Sadly, signing Max seems impossible now, and they need to find someone else to complete their team.
