The Spanish racer, Fernando Alonso, becomes the first ever F1 racer to complete 20,000 laps. Throughout his Formula 1 career, he has presented six different teams and has won the Formula 1 Championship twice. He made his debut with the Minardi and Renault teams and is currently a member of the Aston Martin team.
Alonso joined the Minardi and Renault racing teams in 2001, and his first-ever grand prix was the 2001 Australian Grand Prix. Michael Schumacher won the Grand Prix, and Alonso finished in the 12th position after starting from the 19th position.
Well, no one knew that the Spanish racer would achieve this milestone. In the 2024 Italian Grand Prix, he completed the milestone of completing 20,000 laps in F1 and also became the first-ever racer to do so.
