Every season, we witness changes in the F1 grid as some drivers change teams or rookie drivers with an incredible F2 or F3 season get signed by F1 teams. Similarly, the Japanese racing driver, Yuki Tsunoda, made his entry in F1. He had an incredible F2 season with the Carlin Motorsports team in 2020 and finished third in the championship. As a result, he got a contract with the Alpha Tauri F1 Team in 2021 and began his F1 journey.
In his debut race, he finished 9th and scored points. In that season, he scored 32 points and finished 14th in the drivers’ championship. This also helped Alpha Tauri finish 6th in the constructors’ championship, which is also their best. Looking at an impressive rookie season, Tsunoda signed an extension contract with the Alpha Tauri F1 team until 2024.

Tsunoda has performed consistently for the team and has been crucial to the team’s success. The 2024 season was quite incredible for Tsunoda. There was a game of musical chairs going on for the Alpha Tauri seat, and he was the first choice. Other drivers like de Vries, Lawson, and Ricciardo contributed to the team, but Yuki’s contribution helped them significantly.

Does Yuki Tsunoda deserve the Red Bull F1 Team seat?
Tsunoda has been amazing for Alpha Tauri over the years. He has been crucial in all their campaigns and will be racing for them in the 2024 season. Throughout his F1 journey, he has scored 61 points, and his best race finish is fourth. He is yet to finish on the podium in his F1 career and would love to achieve it in the 2024 season.
If he finishes among the top 10 drivers in the 2024 drivers’ championship with good points next to his name, he surely deserves the Red Bull seat.
