The UFC 295 event was magical for the Brazilian mixed martial artist Alex Pereira. The reason is that he defeated Jiri Prochazka and won the vacant UFC light heavyweight championship. Pereira won the fight by knockout in the second round. During the post-fight winner announcement, he kind of challenged Israel Adesanya for a rematch.
Well, now Alex Pereira has called out Israel Adesanya again for a rematch. Here is what Pereira said:
“I want to give him (Adesanya) the chance.”
Here is the complete statement:
“I want to give him the chance, and I saw he was not giving me any respect for my callout. If he comes up, nice. If he doesn’t, it doesn’t matter.”
As we all know, Adesanya is on a break, and several fighters have called him out. But Pereira has challenged him multiple times. Pereira’s only loss in the UFC ring came against Adesanya, and he wants to settle it.
Both fighters have faced each other on two occasions, and the score is 1-1. Will Adesanya come out of the break and accept the challenge from Alex Pereira? Only time will let us know. Till then, let us look at the head-to-head record of Pereira and Adesanya.
