The 2024 season for the Alpine F1 team began with several changes. Pierre Gasly joined the team, and after the exit of Fernando Alonso, there were changes in the team principal. After the joining of Gasly and Bruno Famin, the French line-up was looking good, but the season wasn’t that parfait.
The start of the season was disappointing, and they had zero top-five finishes in the first five races. But during the Monaco Grand Prix, things changed drastically. Esteban Ocon finished third and handed the team a podium finish after 29 Grand Prix.
But after that, it was a downward spike, and after six grand prix, they got their second podium, which was by Pierre Gasly. This was also their second top-five finish of the season. Later, at the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix, they got their third top-five finish and missed the podium by one place.
At the end of the season, with 120 points and two podium finishes, they finished 6th in the Constructors Championship. Can they challenge Red Bull for the 2024 championship? Do let us know your views in the comment section.
