The circumstances surrounding how several unauthorized individuals, including celebrity chef “Salt Bae,” gatecrashed Argentina’s celebrations of the FIFA World Cup 2022 are being looked into by the FIFA committee.
After Argentina defeated France on penalties in the memorable World Cup final on Sunday. Turkish chef Nusret Gokce, also known as Salt Bae because of the theatrical way he seasons meat in his chain of steakhouse restaurants, was photographed holding the trophy and giving it a kiss.

Gokce, who had previously been seen preparing food for FIFA president Gianni Infantino, joined the Argentina players in celebrating and was repeatedly seen attempting to get a photo with captain Lionel Messi.
Infantino has unfollowed the famous person on Instagram, and there is no business connection between them. It is believed that Infantino had no part in granting Gokce access to the pitch.
FIFA World Cup 2022: what did FIFA say in their statement?
The ruling body is looking into what transpired and has committed to taking “appropriate internal action” against any FIFA employees responsible.
“Following a review, FIFA has been determining how individuals gained unauthorised access to the pitch after the closing ceremony at Lusail Stadium on December 18,” a FIFA spokesperson said and will take the proper internal action.
FIFA rules state that only a “very select group of people” are permitted to touch the current trophy created in 1974.
