Bukayo Saka has signed a new long term deal with Arsenal , the Premier League club announced on Tuesday. The new contract will run through until 2027.
Saka’s development over the last two seasons while establishing himself as a key player for the England national team has seen him attract the attention of some biggest clubs in Europe, but, after the official announcement on Tuesday confirming that the deal is over the line is a huge boost for Gunners supporters as well as manager Mikel Arteta. Reportedly Bukayo Saka’s transfer value has risen by an astonishing 582% in just over three years as the deal is thought to be worth at least £200,000-a-week, but could rise to £300,000-a-week due to bonuses, he becomes the club’s best-paid player.
In their unsuccessful title charge this season, Saka scored 13 goals and contributed a further 11 assists in the league. Having joined the club as a 8 year old kid he has become one of the leaders of the team and featured in every Premier League match over the past two seasons. Despite still being just 21 he has already made a total of 178 first team appearances.
“I’m just really happy,” Saka told the Arsenal official website. “There’s been a lot of talking and it’s been a while, but I’m here now. I think this is the right club, the right place to make the next step. It’s a beautiful club – look where we are.
“For me, it’s about achieving my personal ambitions; how much I push myself and demand from myself each game, week in, week out.
