Cam Thomas of the Brooklyn Nets becomes the NBA’s youngest player with three straight 40-point games.

Since the Nets joined the NBA in 1976, he is the only member of the team to accomplish the accomplishment.

After dealing Kyrie Irving to the Dallas Mavericks in recent days, the Brooklyn Nets came to dominate the NBA. However, Cam Thomas has also merited some of your focus.

The 21-year-old guard scored 43 points in a 116-112 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday. Making him the youngest player in NBA history to record three straight 40-point performances.

On Saturday against the Washington Wizards, Thomas scored 44 points in just 29 minutes to start his recent fiery streak. The next Monday, he scored 47 points against the Los Angeles Clippers. Unfortunately, the Nets have only won two of those games. But the outcomes would probably have been far more lopsided without Thomas.

Since Kyrie Irving sought and was ultimately granted a trade out of Brooklyn, all three outbursts have taken place. In his absence, Thomas has taken on a larger role and is making the absolute most of it while also making some history. Cam Thomas creating history

Thomas became the youngest player in NBA history to score 40 or more points in three straight games thanks to his effort on Tuesday. He is 117 days and 21 years old. Since the Nets joined the NBA in 1976, he is the only member of the team to accomplish the accomplishment. When the Nets played in the ABA in 1972, Rick Barry managed to pull it off. This franchise still has Kevin Durant and has recently had both James Harden and Kyrie Irving on the roster. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to defeat the Suns, who triumphed on Tuesday in Devin Booker’s injury comeback. However, Thomas is giving the Nets reason to believe that they have been sitting on a secret gem for the previous two seasons. Even with the impending inclusion of Spencer Dinwiddie from the Irving deal and the projected return of Durant from injury. He has unquestionably earned a bigger role.

Thomas started the game off well and finished the first half with 24 points, much like he did on Monday. After making 8 of 13 shots in the first half, 3 of which were from beyond the arc, he lost steam. Late in the fourth quarter, he became stuck on 30. The Suns fouled Brooklyn in an effort to stop them from making 3-point shots, but Thomas still managed to score 13 points in the game’s closing 90 seconds, during which time he went to the line five times.

Thomas had an effective night overall, making 18 of 20 free throws while hitting 11 of 23 from the field, including 3 of 9 from beyond the arc. 39 of his total playing time were team-high.
