Sadio Mane back in training with Bayern Munich

Sadio Mane of Bayern Munich trained with the ball for the first time in three months following his injury before the World Cup.

Yesterday, two weeks before the club’s crucial match against Paris Saint-Germain, Sadio Mane of Bayern Munich trained with the ball for the first time in three months.

Senegal’s World Cup campaign in Qatar was cut short when Mane underwent surgery after suffering a tendon injury in his leg during his team’s 6-1 victory over Werder Bremen in November.

The first leg of Bayern’s Champions League match against Paris will take place on February 14; the return match will take place in Munich on March 8. The current African Player of the Year’s availability for the first leg was previously stated by Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann as something he “would not count on.” Read More: The most recent Premier League roster for Manchester United includes Mason Greenwood

Mane, a 2022 summer transfer from Liverpool to Bayern, has 11 goals in 23 games across all competitions this season.

Was Sadio Mane a major miss for Senegal?

Even though Senegal played amazingly without the involvement of Sadio Mane, they have lacked his presence throughout their journey in the FIFA World Cup 2022. The man who helped his team to achieve the AFCON last year was unable to help his team in the World Cup with a serious injury.

However, Senegal did not let the downfall of Mane affect the team’s performance and confidence. The team guided themselves comfortably till the round of 16 but unfortunately had to end their journey there as England slammed 3 past the ruthless Senegalese defence.
