Termed the big revenge game, the Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad encounter proved to be an eventful match. Taking on his former side, David Warner obliterated the SRH bowling unit, sparking a meme fest on social media.

Scoring an unbeaten 92, his highest this season, the DC opener played an outrageous shot while batting on 79. Known for his infamous switch-hits, Warner set himself up to play the shot. Warner further added:

“Obviously we lost the toss, our job was to come out and try and get a great start in the powerplay. We always talk about it, if one person scores 80 and one person gets 40, probably going to win a lot of the games. Tonight, it was fantastic to be up there with Rovi”

David Warner led the Sunrisers Hyderabad to win their first-ever and only IPL title in 2016. However, after having a bad season in 2021, Warner was stripped of captaincy, dropped and subsequently released before the auction.
