Novak Djokovic plans to reveal details about “faking an injury” in special press conference

Novak Djokovic is set to address details about rumors related to “faking an injury” which he was accused of during the Australian Open this year. The World No.1 still managed to play throughout the Grand Slam, lifting the coveted cup as well as the Adelaide International after sustaining a hip injury in Adelaide.

I know everything, but I can’t tell you anything, sorry. I decided to have a press conference. I will answer all questions there. I have already arranged with my PR team, the invitation will arrive in a few days,” Djokovic told Jelena Medic of Sportal.

In the Australian Open 2024 final, Djokovic defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (5)and won the title. But he disclosed how the rumors affected him and that he would soon clear things out.

Novak Djokovic hits back at trolls after rumors

Before winning the cup, he spoke to the Serbian media in his native language after he was asked about the allegations. The Serb great hit back at the trolls by saying: “Only my injuries are questioned. When some other players are injured, then they are the victims, but when it is me, I am faking it.”

He further added that he got the MRI, ultrasound, and everything that can reveal the truth. And that it will be his choice whether he will publish it in his documentary or on social media. “Maybe I will do it, maybe I won’t“.
