For their Friday night game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, a rematch of their Wednesday night matchup, the Heat have listed Kevin Love as probably to play. Love reportedly has a bruise on one of his ribs, but it doesn’t appear like this will be enough to preclude him from playing.
Since joining the Heat after obtaining a buyout from the Cavaliers, Kevin Love has started each of his seven games. They urged love to look for a new home in order to secure a bigger role after he missed his final nine games while still an active member of the Cavaliers team.
Kevin Love has not yet played a lot of minutes for the Heat despite being a starter. Due to Caleb Martin’s superior ability to defend the perimeter to the 34-year-old Love, Miami has relegated him to an 18 to the 25-minute role and relies on him to conclude games instead of Love.
Simply put, Kevin Love’s performance has declined; in particular, his three-point shooting has deteriorated, and he has never been particularly good on the defensive end of the court. Love has only managed a 24 percent three-point shooting percentage in his seven games with the Heat. In fact, he has a season shooting percentage below 40 percent, at a less-than-impressive 39 percent. Is Kevin Love Playing against Cleveland Cavaliers?
On March 6, the Miami Heat defeated the Atlanta Hawks 130-128 while Kevin Love watched from the sidelines. Due to a right rib contusion, he missed the game. He made his comeback two nights ago in Miami’s 104-100 loss to his old team, the Cleveland Cavaliers.
They have listed love as probable for the rematch against the Cavaliers because of the same problem. Starting tonight, the Heat will play two back-to-back games. The 2016 NBA champion may miss the game against the Orlando Magic tomorrow or tonight. Also Read: Warriors’ defense executes miserably in their 131-110 loss against the Grizzlies
Is Kyle Lowry Playing against Cleveland Cavaliers?
Kyle Lowry (knee) won’t be on the court against the Cavaliers on Friday. Lowry will miss his 15th straight game on Friday due to left knee discomfort, despite wanting to return before the end of the regular season. In the absence of the seasoned point guard, Gabe Vincent should continue to start. There is some hope that Lowry will be back on the court within the next week for Saturday’s game against Orlando, which will be his next opportunity to suit up.
