NBA suspends 11 players in connection with a fight between the Orlando Magic and the Detroit Pistons.

The forfeited compensation from the 11 suspensions will total just over $500,000. Hayes will suffer the largest loss, or nearly $121,000.

The NBA punished 11 players after a huge fight during the Detroit Pistons 121-101 victory over the Orlando Magic.

How did the Magic and Pistons fight between themselves?

The Pistons were up by nine points when Wagner shoved Hayes at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena.

Diallo ran in from behind and pushed Wagner, and Hayes struck Wagner, sending him falling into the Piston’s bench.

The one-game suspensions for the eight Magic players who left the bench area will be staggered. Such that the Magic has eight players available for their next two games.

The impact of the game in Detroit on Wednesday night was so significant that the Magic players’ suspensions will be delayed. So they have an adequate pool of players to use in their upcoming match.

The forfeited compensation from the 11 suspensions will total just over $500,000. Hayes will suffer the largest loss, or nearly $121,000.

Players Who got suspended

To ensure that the team has enough players on the roster for its next game, the suspensions will need to be enforced in a staggered manner due to how admirably they were handled. The Magic’s Cole Anthony, R. J. Hampton, Gary Harris, Kevon Harris, Admiral Schofield, Franz Wagner, Mo Bamba, and Wendell Carter Jr. players were each given a one-game suspension.

The suspensions for Anthony, Bamba, Carter, Hampton, and Gary Harris will start on Friday against Washington. For the following game, which is on January 4 in Oklahoma City, Kevon Harris, Schofield, and Franz Wagner will be suspended.

Though it evoked memories of the famed “Malice in the Palace,” the event thankfully never reached that point. As the fight was taking place, the announcer in the arena pleaded with spectators to remain in their seats.

After the victory, the Pistons’ overall record of 9-28 still makes them the NBA’s worst team. With a 13-23 record, the Magic are fifth-worst in the league. Both teams have a lot of young, talented players, and this might signal the start of an Eastern Conference rivalry.

The NBA is merely grateful that this fight didn’t worsen for the time being.
