After a press conference of back-and-forth insults, Paulo Costa charged forward into a stare-down with his UFC 278 co-headlining opponent, Luke Rockhold. Setting President Dana White on high alert.

Paulo Costa vs Luke Rockhold
Despite all the hostility on display, Costa told an enraged Rockhold to “be cool” as they squared off at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City. This happened after the press conference for Saturday’s pay-per-view match.
“This motherf****** didn’t want to take the fight in the first place,” Rockhold said. “The UFC forced it down his throat and then he delayed it twice, month after month and all the cosmetic bulls*** he got done. You little b****, shut up.”
Costa kept smiling in response as he scoffed at Rockhold’s claims while mocking the tone of the rhetoric coming from his 37-year-old opponent.
“Come on, this guy is too old to say this kind of bulls***. Come on,” Costa said. “You are too old to say this kind of bulls***.
“He can say this bulls***. I don’t feed on an older man like he is. It doesn’t matter on the day of the fight. We will be close in the same cage, just me and him and we will see who has more energy, who has more power and more will to win this fight.”
Dana kept his arms on each middleweight, just in case, as they decided to trade a couple of blows in front of the camera.
Kumaru Usman vs Leon Edwards
Leon Edwards, the opponent, and welterweight champion Kamaru Usman traded playful blows with one another. They were focused and respectful when it came time to engage in combat for their next-to-last encounter prior to Saturday’s fight night.
